What makes a next-generation firewall different?
A traditional firewall decides based on IP addresses and ports. A next-generation firewall recognises the application, the user and the content, and also blocks attacks and malware.
Do we need Prisma Access if we already have a VPN?
For smaller teams, GlobalProtect VPN is often enough. With many remote employees, several sites and lots of cloud applications, Prisma Access provides faster and more consistent protection, because traffic doesn’t have to go through headquarters.
Does perimeter security help with NIS2 compliance?
Yes, much of the technical side is implemented here: network segmentation, logging, multi-factor remote access and threat detection. The governance side is covered by our IT Governance service.
Do you only work with Palo Alto?
For firewalls, we recommend Palo Alto. For the local network (switches, Wi-Fi), we choose vendor-neutrally, based on your needs and budget.
