What’s relevant now
Two deadlines worth planning for.
Windows Server 2016: 12 January 2027
Extended support ends on this date, and the system will no longer receive free security updates. Paid Extended Security Updates (via Azure Arc) can bridge the gap; the lasting fix is upgrading to Windows Server 2025 or moving to Azure. We’ll help you plan.
VMware licences: time to re-run the numbers
Since Broadcom’s acquisition, VMware is only available as subscription bundles, which has significantly raised costs for many companies. We compare the options vendor-neutrally: stay on VMware, or move to Hyper-V or Azure.

FAQ
Questions our clients often ask.
Cloud or on-premises?
The cloud isn’t always cheaper. For specialised software, large local data sets or production-line systems, on-premises or hybrid is often the better choice. Our recommendations are vendor-neutral and backed by numbers.
What happens if a server goes down?
Monitoring raises an alert and our engineers step in. If the fault can’t be fixed quickly, we restore the system from a tested backup. In a clustered environment, the service keeps running on another host.
Can you take over our systems from another provider?
Yes. During takeover, we assess and document the entire environment, so everything is transparent from day one. Access rights and passwords are handed over in an orderly way.
What should we do with our Windows Server 2016 machines?
Now is the time to map which services run on them. We choose between upgrading, moving to Azure and Extended Security Updates based on cost and risk, well before the 12 January 2027 deadline.
